Contact local media and ask them to do a write-up on your event. Post in local papers online calendars "Club Grid".

Make flyers and set then as you profile picture on social networks. Create events in social networks and invite your fans.

Distribute posters to local hangouts; coffee shops, skate and surf shops, restaurants, record stores, rehearsal spaces and schools.... everywhere that you think is appropriate.

Be sure to bring copies of your poster to the club and ask us to put them in our window.

Thank you.

The following is a media list of editors and music-related journalists you should contact with press releases and kits pertaining to your show. Some media will need this information more quickly than others – obviously monthly publications need greater lead times than daily publications.

General rule of thumb is the SOONER THE BETTER. You need a minimum of three weeks to a month lead time to normally be considered for the weekly papers.

Culo A Boca, The Obsessors, & Dos Hermanos @ The Blue Lagoon Wednesday October 26th

Wednesday October 26th 2011

Culo A Boca
Horor Punk Rock n Roll
Sunnyvale, San Francsico, Santa Cruz.

Found lacking in public school Culo A Boca members sleezed their way into each others lives. After dropping a duce while talking to mom on the phone, each member found that together they ignited the dirty old man humor and fowl mouths that would make a sailor blush. Culo A Boca first started as Ass To Mouth and as a way to entertain(by bleeding through the ears) their friends while partying. B.J.Gums found a way to record each fart and belch during this time and then turning it in to the melodic fury that could turn any bar into a good time. Soon they took over the dive bar scene like an intestinal poo-nami dominating a small village otherwise known as the bathroom.
Pancho Verde began to dawn a Lucha Libre mask to protect his upper class identity from the women who would lust after him at shows. The rest of Culo A Boca told fans that they wore zombie makeup but in actuality their flesh began to rot from their filthy music.
Unsurprisingly barflys where drawn to the riproarous vomit party that would take place during Culo A Boca's shows. And the rest is a living legend that YOU can experiance!

The Obsessors
garage dwelling, dark-wave, black metal pop-punk!
San Jose, Santa Cruz

Party a lot. Drive van around. Get out plug in play for pizza and beer. Go home and party some more. Wash and repeat.

Dos Hermanos
2-step / Folk / Garage
Monaco

Senor G.Rag: megaphone, no singing, git, mülleimer, blech, hi-hat, harp, shaker, organetta

José aka the Black Rider: singing, bass drum, git, snare, harp, kazoo , slide guit

Country Trash, patcheko songwriting, lost ambient trash, y mucho mucho these two brothers shout, rock, whistle, blow harps, sing funny and sometimes sad songs about..... There are people all over the world who say: ah oui oui, c..est pas mal. Others say: it..s shit. And that..s what we want. So if you like both: Country and a good mighty mezz .... you are right.

Minimalisme pure, you can hear more or less percussion, noisevoice and a spooky drum set. You can feel trash at his best and on the other side: no it..s more like....................” heeee i can see tears in your eyes”.

It..s a strange respect for country in times he used to be cool and rock ..n roll was still angry and goddamn hot. (subterranean homesick blues, von hinten, drugstore cowboy). Or takes Trio a friendly look over the hermanos shoulder? (foto foto, lala, lady -o- lady) Their own compositions are mixed in a funny combination of german/english/french/or whatever lyrics with or without use of an old megaphone. The strange click clack dong you can hear in the background makes definitley more space for charme.

Well dressed.

Ganz genau.

A Thousand Shall Fall, Exhale The Vile, & Cevium @ Old Ironsides Saturday October 15th

Saturday October 15th 2011

A Thousand Shall Fall
Metal
Santa Cruz

Emerging as a duo in the Summer of 2010 with the musical engineering prowess of Kevin Loftus and the guitar styling's of Dhruva Noel, A Thousand Shall Fall was a metal-based recording group with hopes of gaining a few more members and turning it into the real thing. In late August the duo became a formidable trio with the addition of Daniel Johnston, a highly skilled guitarist previously part of various local bands such as Descending Forth and others. With the addition of Dan A.T.S.F. found a direction for their music and added an important piece to their onslaught. In late 2010 Jesse Williams joined on vocals, and in early 2011 Gena Krupa joined the band to finalize the A.T.S.F. lineup. Currently in the process of composing, booking, and recording the band's sound is strongly melodic while simultaneously staying true to the heavy hitting rhythms they've all grown fond of. Keep your eyes and ears open for some upcoming tracks on Myspace other sites and look out for A Thousand Shall Fall coming to a city near you in 2011.

Exhale The Vile
Metal
Sacramento

After a long journey of music throughout the years, including bands such as Namesake and The Unnu, three core friends and musicians have gotten together to start working on their next project. There has been a lot of work in order to get to this point, and there is a lot of work to do ahead, but the music that is starting to flow from these three people is something that they are all excited about and wish to start sharing with their friends and anybody else that will listen. The singer Dan is currently in the US Navy and about to be deployed to Afghanistan. Luckily, they were able to do a rough recording of the three of the songs that they have written so far before he leaves. While he is away, Dustin and Flint plan on continuing to write music and to begin production on a full length studio album, so that as soon as Dan returns, they can pick up right where they left off. The band is very proud and excited about what they are doing right now, so get on board and check it out!
